The Laboratory of Positron and Positronium hosts two radioactive source (22Na) based positron beams. Both are equipped with state of the art cryogenic frozen rare gas moderation systems which convert the broad energy spectrum from the beta+ emitter to a mono energetic slow positron beam. While they regularly host fundamental research, they are also employed for the material characterisation with positrons. One beam line facilitates a surko type buffer gas trap for positron while the other is continous mode beam.
